And...he has an 'insurance option for teenagers' with NO insurance!  That's right, while he is required by federal law to file on insurance if you have it, he also has a very generous cash discount system for teens without insurance. He can also see teens for FREE!

An Insurance Option for Teenagers...Commercial

The insurance networks constantly change.  If you have insurance, he recommends starting with your insurance network website to search for Dr. Hipke.

You may have to look under Internal Medicine, Adolescent Medicine or Pediatrics.  (Yes, some insurances have no understanding of Adolescent Medicine so they just stick him under the closest fit to the way they see it.)

A note about 'Doctor Statistics':  The insurances now 'grade' doctors based on what they consider is good performance.  You will find Dr. Hipke is rated low by several insurances because he is compared to 'normal' pediatric or Internal Medicine clinics.  That makes Dr. Hipke automatically unacceptable because there is NO ONE in East Texas with similar patient statistics.  (Take the 'rating' with a grain of salt.)  Click here to read what Dr. Hipke's patients think his rating should be...

Dr. Hipke is in network with Texas Medicaid and CHIP insurances.  He is a Primary Care Provider (PCP) and completes Texas Healthstep Exams for his patients.

Get your gas / mileage paid back!  That's right!  Visit Medicaid Transportation Services online or call 1-877-633-8747.  You can download a trip log and get reimbursed or you can schedule transportation to see Dr. Hipke.

What's the Next Step?

If you can't find him listed, call the office at CLOSED and we will help you look.  He will also explore joining a new insurance if needed.

  • When you find him, complete the New Patient Form.  He is accepting new patients on a limited basis.

No insurance?  No problem.  Dr. Hipke is dedicated to caring for tweens and teens without insurance, too. 

After you are accepted as a New Patient, you may need to change Dr. Hipke to your teen / tween's primary care physician (PCP).  Ask you insurance to call us CLOSED or fax us CLOSED with an authorization number to confirm the change has been complete. You're in!
